Ms. Daynard was Fiction Editor for Boston Review , a bimonthly forum on politics and literature, from 1996 to 2003. While an editor at BR, she published both new and established writers, including David Mamet, Stephen Dixon, W.D. Wetherell, Israeli poet laureat Elisha Porat, and up-and-coming talents Manuel Munoz and Pauls Toutonghi.
Annually, Ms. Daynard also oversaw the Boston Review Short Story contest. Judges included Alan Lightman, Bradford Morrow, Paul West, Pete Hamill, Lauren Wolk, Ethan Canin, Jill McCorkle, and others.
